Nose is still orange peel, but taking a more orange liqueur turn. This seems to have gone over to the downslope. Still has the good qualities I've liked in the past, but more out of balance. In particular, the alcohol was more noticable.

Nose was bright orange peel and stone fruit. Medium to full bodied. Drinking totally dry now. Nice honeyed citrus. White peach flavors. An extremely long finish. Paired beautifully with the Indian Sole dish. Wonderful wine.

This was shining tonight. Orange zest, spice, tropical fruits, acidity, and a long but clean finish. Excellent. Chehalem makes amazing white wine.

Wonderful nose of orange peel and spices. A fairly full body with flavors of orange peel, baked pear and honey. Even though there is a bit of residual sugar in it, it drinks like a dry wine. Really very enjoyable.

Oregon Trip Day 2 (Wilamette Valley) : Pale nose of white fruit. Forward sour palate with some oakiness. This just didn't do it for me - least favorite I tasted there.

2006 Reserve Pinot Gris $24. Nice smell. Tasty. Better than the Ponzi. Tasted at the winery.

WIML92,PURPLE91 Tasted August 18, 2008. Opened and served immediately. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Lovely nose of lychee, apricots and wet stones. Soft and supple flavors of peach, lime and lychee. Light to medium acidity and body. This wine has gotten better in the past 5 months in bottle. One of the better Oregon Pinot Gris I've tasted. Drink over the short term.

Opened not decanted and served chilled. Tasted at the winery. Quick notes: darker and richer than the 07 regular bottle with over ripe fruit. Fair.

Little cloudy on the color, but a wonerfully fragrant nose, with hints of spice and something tropcial. The fine starts with some nice pear flavors mixed with spice and finishes with a long dab of honey. Great mouthfeel.

WIML90,PURPLE88 Tasted March 13, 2008. PURPLE opened this the night before, had a small glass and kept in the cold fridge overnight. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of apricot, lychee, orange slices and grapefruit. Flavors of orange, peach and grapefruit. Light to medium acidity and body. Drink over the next year or two, three if you'd like to push it. Good QPR and quite quaffable.
