This possesses a finesse and elegance very few Riesling can match - it couldn't probably come from any other region in the world other than the Moselle. Vinen er strågul på farge. På nesen er vinen umiddelbart presis og konsentrert med gule tyngre sitrusfrukter og perfekte modne gule epler. Også et snev av voks kanskje. Vinen har en flott fylde, men oppleves allikevel slank med ren herlig frukt. Her er det finesse på høyt nivå. Litt yngre lekne sitroner og bittelitt lime. Lang mineralsk utgang. Syren er høy, men vinen oppleves som balansert.

Tasted at the winery. My favorite of the GGs, also the first vintage of this bottling. Intense nose of lemon zest, ripe melon, and cantaloupe, with subtle hibiscus and lilac notes. Very masculine and punchy on the palate with ripe citrus and some spice on the finish, with a great acidic backbone. Can’t wait to see how this one evolves over time.

Tasted at the winery. More yellow peach and apricot on this wine than the Brauneberger Juffer GG. Additionally has some enjoyable yellow floral notes. A little more tart on the palate, nice and zesty on the finish.

The German Crush Tour; 10/8/2017-10/16/2017 : yellow peach, riper than the W.S. mineral in the mid really showing itself against the ripe fruit. long elegant wine, tart and spicy finish with good zest. give it time to unravel

Tasted after 2016 Helden GG. Less elegant and fine in comparison, really punchy, intense and powerful on the palate. Very very long. Highly promising, but will need time. 95-96+
