Mineral driven, earthy, with just enough fruit. Well balanced with good acidity. Nice wine. Nothing special, but then, it's an '05, so if I had waited?

This is a very nice Bourgogne thats drinking beautifully today with about 1 1/2 hours of air. Bright red cherry lurking beneath earthy, sauvage notes. As is sometimes the case for me, this is my last bottle and seems to be drinking the best of the batch. I suspect I should have given the rest of this lot abit more time before drinking them. Ah well, this one is a really nice Bourgogne level wine.

Sunday in the Sunroom--all blind (Chez S1) : A fooler because of the dominance of dark cherry fruit and above average extraction. Wild guesses ranged from Spanish Grenache to Italian Sangiovese or maybe Nebbiolo. Acidity is good but the wine is rather dark and brooding. I still think it tasted like 05 Bourgogne. I think these have a few years of life remaining.

Pretty nose of red fruit and earth, but the palate was fairly dilute and lacking in interest today. After a few more hours, it opened quite abit allowing some delicate cherry and earth flavors to peek thru.

Today this had a rather dusky, earthy nose followed by rustic dark fruit flavors with green, earthy undertones and firm chalky tannins on the finish. Quite abit of structure for a Bourgogne level wine.

Not a deep, contemplative wine, but a really nice bottle to just drink and enjoy. A pretty, simple Bourgogne with sweet red fruit, some floral notes, some earthy undertones and mild, chalky tannins on the finish. Needed a couple hours of air to open.

Pretty nose of red cherry and earth. Needed about 2 hours of decanting to open. Light to med bodied with delicate red fruit, rustic earthy undertones and a fairly firm tannic finish. A very nice Bourgogne with a decent qpr.

opened 3 hours before drinking, let it air out in the bottle. delicious really nice flavor, not really fruity but not too harsh either. there wasn't the complexity of some of the more expensive wines from this producer, but it's a really nice wine.

Maybe a bit young but maybe a bit thin too. Not very open on the fruit, tough yet light tannins and thin on the finish. I don't think there was much there to begin with but will on other bottles to find out.
