Never expected this wine to be very good at this low price.

Did not expect much in this price range. However, this was a perfect match for our pot roast dinner. It was superb.

Good QPR. A bit hot and the tannins are still hiding the fruit just a bit. Nice long finish. Great with pizza.

Deep purple, opaque in the glass, restrained nose bit hot, palate has a chai spice and peppery notes with boysenberry and black fruits, notes of wood leading to a long finish. Perfect match for bbq fantastic QPR.

Dark purple. Violets, blueberries, and leather nose. Plums, blackberries, grainy tannins, smoke, and a slightly tart, very dry finish. There's a core of fruit buried in there, but its hiding behind the tannins. Need to revisit in a couple of years.

Not bad at the sub$10 price point I paid in it. The color is purple to nearly black and the wine seems to throwing a ton of fine sediment. Nose primarily black berry and on the tongue it sits somewhat flat with medium tannins but not enough acid.

Not nearly as forward as the 2005. Didn't see depth for aging potential.

Intense blackberry and raspberry present on the nose with light spiciness following after. The mouthfeel seemed pretty earthy, almost a little gritty. I did not notice too much fruit showing on the front end of the wine, only the jammy texture which finished with a little fruit shining through at the end.
