Friday at the strand (Strand Cellars, Croydon) : Struck match, peachy fruit is almost crunchy but there is also a touch of tropical fruit here - mango and pineapple. Toast and butter complete the aromas on a quite boisterous nose. In the mouth it's quite rich as well; the palate is a reflection of the nose, the acid is, perhaps, a little soft and the alcohol a touch high but this is charming in a blousy way...
