Très plaisant, au nez et en bouche très porté sur le fruit. C'est un vin immédiatement porteur de plaisir, joyeux, plein, épicé, qui possède une assez bonne longueur et une jolie finale réglissée. Je suis curieux de voir son évolution sur quelques années. Après avoir goûté une première fois le 2016, je décide donc de commander du 2017 qui conserve ces qualités.

on the nose: ripe fruit, raspberry or fig, spice. on the palate: very little fruit relative to the nose, some spice. medium plus tannins, medium acid. went oddly well with a younger goat cheese.

This is cracking CdR. Lovely spicy fruit, grenache dominant and partnered well with steak, chips and ratatouille. Full bodied and quite long.

For the price you get a whole lot of wine. There is no need to fully decant but do not just pour and drink - I did this and was very nearly put off by the first mouthful which was very medicinal and sharp. 10 minutes in the glass and it really softened. Aromas of cocoa, blueberries and blackberry. There is quite an alcohol style hit to start but this also softens and becomes an aniseed and red fruit finish. …

A young bruiser of a wine. Powerful black fruit and barnyard nose. Full-bodied, on the rustic side with strong licorice and black tea flavors accompanying the black fruit. Strong tannins on the finish.
