Agree with most here. Thin, sharp, with no legs.

Past it's peak. 2010 was probably the max time.

Yuch. Tasteless. Tried and tried. Had to pour most of it down the drain.

Very nice on the nose, with a blueberry character. The taste was slightly unbalance, too high on acidity and alcohol feel. Medium body with a rather bitter finish.

A light sangiovese that'l wash down any pasta plate you set beside it. A little pepper, some lively black fruit, and a short finish so it won't override the next forkful of spaghetti.

Agree with smallhart's tasting note -- not a lot to this wine.

A Small Wine Tasting (Catonsville, MD) : We tasted this against a White Cottage Ezivese. Just not a lot to it. dissappeard quickly, not much body. It came a little more alive with some aeration, but not a favorite, even for the bargain it is.

A little fruity and sweet on the finish. Acid comes through fairly strong. Not one of my favorites, but certainly drinkable.

Truly one of the better buys in the IGT Sangiovese blend world.

Fresh, lively, country style. Piercing fruit. Clean texture. A bit of turned earth. Food friendly. At the end of 2007, this 2005 had its best time though.

Extremely fruit-forward wine, which makes it very quaffable. A flighty nose which seemed to come and go, but contained raspberry, wet stone, blackberry liqueur and a hint of vanilla. One-dimensional on the palate with the aforementioned fruitiness, but not much else, and little finish. Not a bad wine, but doesn't have much to say for itself. Decanted for an hour.

Fresh and flavorful with more fruit than other Sangioveses. Best sub $10 Italian wine I've had. Complemented very well with Tuscan style lamb.

The nose of this wine has a hint of buttered popcorn (oak) mixed with red fruit and a slight hint of carmel (oak), the wine has a nice mouth feel with firm but not over powering tannins that are mixed with a long finish. The wine has flavors of sour red fruit that include strawberries and cherries with a spice notes. This wine jumps on the mid pallet and lasts all the way to the finsih.

Clef-du-Vin Used. A delightful plum & leather aroma, follwed by a clean berry & herbs, with a hint of pepper flavor. The finish is light, even, and brief.

Lightly crushed fruit on the nose. Soft, light, and unimposing, but good. Not too acidic. A solid little quaffing chianti.

Bargain Barrel Wine Tasting; 4/14/2007-4/15/2007 (My place) : Heavy caramel on the nose with a light hint of red cherries. Color garnet with a tint of vermillion. Taste light, but interesting. Overall a nice wine.
