Excellent CdP. Drinking beautifully, but I think it has more years left. Decanted for an hour. The small amount of Mourvedre enhances the complexity of the flavors, cherry and black raspberry. The wine is perfectly in balance and integration. Delightful!

Bill Johnson couldn't have described it any better. Delightfully lush, seamless, and delicious.

Im usually a tough grader but this was magnificent. Still fresh fruit of raspberry and dark cherry with baking spice clove and just a touch of barnyard and leather. Nice to drink even without food. Perhaps not able to stand up to a ribeye but wonderful with roasted chicken or seafood such as mussels. A true surprising delight. Drink now. No decant necessary. Over performed.

From magnum. Short decant. Flavors of stewed cherries, dark plums, cloves, licorice, baking spices. Tannins mostly gone. Fantastic. Drink now.

Better than the last bottle. Less tercerary flavor and a little more fruit. Big hit with grilled tomahawks

Garrigue, peppery red fruits, flowers, and spice in the perfume grab your attention. The wine is soft, forward, fresh and early drinking, with a black raspberry, licorice and sweet , peppery, black cherry endnote. The wine was produced using about 90% Grenache with the rest of the blend taken up with Mourvedre. Drink from 2024-2029.

Nice bottle with only 1 cm ullage. Could only perhaps imagine a mm of amber rim, reasonable viscosity but not as opaque as I would have expected for a top 2010 CdP. Wonderful nose and taste of blackberry, blueberry and some licorice/oriental spice. Very enjoyable for a bottle at <$40 per bottle (that was auction price, so not sure what retail is.

Cellared this for 10 years, nearing end of drinking window, IMO. Nose of barnyard that gives way to band-aids, licorice and black currants. Complex. Will inspire lots of conversation about bouquet and tasting profile!

Opened first of 3 and wasn’t a big fan. Bottle showed a lot more age than I expected. Lots of prune. Bought at auction, storage issues? Hopefully the other 2 show better

Thought this was in a very good spot, clearly showing some secondary flavors without having turned the corner to that raisining I don't always love.

Tasty, easy drinking wine with primary flavors of kirsch and dried brown figs. Good tannic presence, and better acidic balance than many CdPs. Everything tastes right to me for drinking now, though I am sure it will be good ten years from now.

A hint of Kirsch and garrigue, but this is still a baby. Not close to its drinking window at this point. Shaping up to to be a great QPR performer when it reaches maturity.

Delicious, mature, a little bit of funk in a very good way. No decant, second bottle on the night.

Rhubarb, ripe plums, sweet incense spices, complex herbs, candied oranges, a ghost of licorice, just a hint of tannin, with an intense and fabulously long aftertaste. A friendly and graceful wine. Youthful--should be wonderful for at least another five years, probably longer, but there's no reason to wait. (Not decanted, tasted from the Jancis Robinson glass.)

Needed a decant, which I did not give it. Pretty closed and was gone before it had a chance to open up. Decant for at least 90 minutes next time, or let it rest a few more years.

What a fantastic CNP- really everything I love about this region but all too rarely find in my glass. Nose a bit muted but rich velvety purity en bouche in perfect balance with medium weight. Alcohol totally in check. None of the ripe and heavy fruit bombe syndrome one too often finds here. I see from prior notes that I found this to be in perfect drinking window when last tasted 4 years ago Well ditto that. Hard to imagine …

Red with light orange around the rim. Classic aromas of dark red berries, garrigue, forest floor and spice. Medium bodied palate shows sweet and warm dark red fruits, hint of leather, medium (-) acidity, no tannins and a spice/earth tinged finish. Nice drink out of a Magnum.

Really enjoyed. Maybe at ten years I am finally liking the Pope. Deep rooted fruit, relatively dark, quite smooth, not overpowering, decent finish. Nose didn't impress me.

Paired wonderfully with a chicken tagine and a morrican beet and avacado salad. At it’s prime. Improved with a 2 hour decant
