Ruddy purple. Cherry pie and spice nose. Medium bodied, dirty cranberries, black cherries, pepper, cloves, woody tannins, tobacco, and a long, spicy, mouth-puckering finish. Probably getting a bit old, but still good.

Improved with time. Not spectacular, but enjoyed it more than the first bottle.

Dark violet in color. Nose of red fruits and plum. Second nose opens up with more intensity of the same and oak. Still has strong tanins on entry. Red fruit and leather flavors.

Deep ruby in color. Plum, blackberry and perhaps some chocolate on the nose and primary flavors. Secondary wood flavors. Medium tannins, acidity, alcohol and finish. First taste was a bit strident, but opened up nicely after about 15 minutes in glass.

Two hour slow ox and a splash double decant. Deep dark magenta color. Black cherry, vanilla bean, and burnt toast on the nose. Smooth, dry, tart palate. Firm tannins on the medium long finish.

👀 Deep Ruby 👃Aerate in glass for half hour. The 2016 vintage opens up beautifully to black fruits, vanilla and cedar. The attack are ripe cherries. Swirling and introducing some air reveals maraschino cherries at mid palate. Finishing with dark chocolate and licorice. 👅 Full bodied, medium plus intensity, fresh, vibrant acidity. Velvety tannins. Well structured. Long finish. Rich and elegant. It can benefit with aging.

Pleasant nose of cherry and licorice, but falls flat on the palette. Missing depth and structure. Enjoyed the 2014 and 2015. 16 is tasty, but low QPR.

Excellent wine. Consumed 12/27/2020. Strong body (8/10), 7/10 dry (some sweetness), 6/10 acidity, 6/10 tannin (some stickiness, but not overwhelming; just right). Finish 9/10, strong, leaves me wanting more. Overall 92

Inoffensive fruity red blend. Nothing special but also not terrible.

It was good, but high alcohol was overpowering. I would not buy again.

Brambly dark fruit, spicy oak, plush tannins and good acidity with a long finish. A delicious wine! Will seek out more

Muted upon opening... took some time to open up. For $28 on a COVID deal was ok/good... I felt it was lacking on all levels. States on label a "modern palate" & "full fruit" Napa red... I wanted that more in your face wine with the bacon, cheddar & filet burgers. Drank better without food. Haven't drank a Paraduxx wine in like 7-8 years, miss the older style.

Bordeaux Glass Leslee: Blackberry, cherry, raspberry + roasted fruits. Dense with soft tannins. Juicy and best with larger foods -- grilled, roasted or braised meats.

Purple color. Medium bodied. Mild tannins. A nice blend of cab and Zinfandel. Dark fruits. A nice second label for Duckhorn
