This was the best Petit Sirah I have ever had. The base for this is a great vintage but in addition to the quality fruit, Miner made an awesome wine as well. The CT community says that I should have drank this three years ago but there was absolutely nothing over the hill with this wine. It was concentrated dark fruit, smooth and elegant, yet structured and complex with an awesomely long finish. It was as awesome as a Benedetto …

Last one :(. This wine is as strong as it was 2 years ago and I think could go another 5 years. I still think it's the best Miner wine.

I think this might be the best Miner wine I have had. Soft tannins to start, great mellow fruit and a wonderful finish. Drink now.

Just outstanding. Decanted for 45 mins and could hardly bring myself to share. Lots of chocolate, long long finish - drinking perfectly.

Saddle leather, roasted meat, a little game and slight hints of menthol (which calmed down after it had opened up). The tannins are soft and well integrated. Had this once before and this is consistent with my prior notes. Really good stuff.

Big ass oaky, tight, bottle of black opaque juicy fruit. This has plenty of tannins and probably should have waited on this bottle. Good but tight tonight thru the vinturi. Will be interesting to see what this is like like tomorrow...nicely balanced finish and will be interesting to see how this tastes in an hour or two.

I always like the Miner Petite but the 07 was outstanding. Had a 1.5L with friends at dinner and it was a serious struggle to share. Wish I had bought more. Very complex, lots of layers and an outstanding finish.

Very well-rounded tannins and dark stone fruits, primarily ripe plums and blackberries. A dark, inky purple and a rich, unctuous mouthfeel. I wish I'd bought a case of this when I had the chance.

Paired beautifully with rack of lamb and Persian beef kabobs. Big, but not too much. Good balance between fruit and tannins so this, like the Curtis Syrah we also had, was finished off pretty quickly.

The Miner Petite Sirah has always been one of our favorites and the 2007 is magnificent. Perfectly balanced tanins mix with deep blackberry that fills your mouth. I wish I had more....

Opened 2 days ago and it is still drinking great and has gotten more complex. A dark, oaky, smokey, and sweet flavor all at the same time with just a hint of pepper. It's been a while since my last drink and the 3 years really paid off!

Drinking very well. Deep color as you would expect. Rich fruit, balanced tannins. We held this for a few years and it lived up to the promise from our initial tasting.

Big and bold with a lot of dark fruit. This is a great example of what a Dry Creek Valey Petite Sirah can be. Chewy and juicy with lots of ripe black cherry and plum fruit. This is not a beginner's Petite! Try ith your favorit beef entree or other heavy, savory foods.

Not bad, but not great either. Rather simple, drinkable, but nothing to write home about. I'm hopeful that some time will improve my remaining bottles.
