Drinking well right now. Nose of dark fruit, leather, sage, and pepper. Fruit forward with layers of flavor throughout the palate. The tannins are still firm, but soften and smooth with air. Very good value.

Complex palate and robust flavor that is very enjoyable. I picked up aromas of leather and spice on the nose. Tannins are still very firm and benefits from a couple hour decant.

Big & bold with full fruit forward but not sweet, it's complex. A short decant helped smooth it out and the grippy tannins were subdued on second day. There is a lot of peppery notes which I like and a slight bitter aftertaste I'm not sure I do . Overall I feel there is good quality, robust flavor snd lots to enjoy. I might rate this vintage 89.

Very powerful fruit, like everything else at Ballentine. Tasty, but not wonderful.

Super big red with rich, dark fruit on the nose. Firm tannins can overpower, so I would be sure to decant for a few hours prior to serving. I really enjoyed it the day after opening the bottle. Just beware of purple teeth and tongue syndrome following this bottle!
