Rienzi Aglianico Basilicata Brianna Greco

Very curious to try this white made from red aglianico grapes. Golden yellow in the glass. Nose was all honey and vanilla, made me think of chenin blanc; some floral rose notes. On the palate some honey/caramel, soft but dry, steely mineral finish, most similar in my experience to a Rhone white. Pleasant and quaffable, nice with a lamb stew flavored with lots of paprika.
