Djupröd med lite orange ton, ek, smakrik, örtig, lite bärighet kvar, mörka bär, balanserad, jättegod, bra till lammkorv med rostade rotfrukter och kronärtskockcreme. Dålig kork. Drick sista flaskan under 2026

Quite fragrant and powerful. Notes of red fruit, sandalwood, some black currant, anis, tobacco leaves, coffee, leather and soil. Alcohol (15%) well integrated and good overall balance. In time the bouquet turned towards more dried fruit and more earthy notes. Let breath in bottle for 2-3 hours, after which I found this was ready to go.

Best nose of the night! Really intense and powerful aromas of black currant. Just as much of a powerhouse on the palate.

Decanted for approximately 1 hour. Still full of life and structure. Funky, but complex and delicious.

What a difference 5 years makes. Still huge, but the tannins have softened. This is peaking.

Ugh... I'm hoping this was just a bad bottle. My 3rd bad experience with a Priorat. I've had some really, really nice ones and some undrinkable ones.

94-95. Phenomenal wine. Priorate flavors. Very very big. Drinking very well now, difficult to say how this one will age. In some ways, hard to see age improving it, in other ways I could see this going 10+ more years. Wish I had 5-6 bottles to follow.

Dense, dark appearance and a whopping 15% ABV, but it carries it well with a defined and sleek palate - all very cool black fruit and violets, with a clean, fine finish. Some black olives and dry herbs coming through with time - has a lightness on the palate at times. Drinking reasonably well now - not exactly stripping the teeth of enamel, but it is a wine that needs hearty food. Perfect for winter.

A nose of dark fruits and spices, dark purple in color. A medium to full bodied kitchen sink red blend, with blackberry, blueberry, smoke and spices on long finish. A very good wine, still need a decant. www.winelx.com

Had this out of the big ass Bdx glass with a nice grass-fed NY strip in celebration of my recent promotion, and I think it was a good pairing. Densely colored, with somewhere between ruby and crimson towards the edges. Aromatically intense, with dark fruits, pencil lead, tar, smoke, violets, cinnamon, and some heat. Medium body, medium+ acidity and finish, with dark fruits galore (blackberry and plums all day), minerals, leather, and some heat carrying through here as well. This …

Color: Deep purplish maroon. Nose: Dark, brooding nose of dark berries, wet coffee grounds, dark chocolate, and licorice. There's also sweet baking spice and vanilla from the heavy oak, some tobacco and herb, new leather, and alcohol. An expressive if rather heavy-handed bouquet. Mouthfeel: Full bodied and textured like crushed velvet. Palate: Rich and resonant with ripe dark fruit flavors of plum and blackberry, with plenty of oak spice. The cabernet really leads the way with the luxurious texture and …

Massive. Plummy purple, nearly opaque and a wall of sediment inside the bottle after decanting. Logs of oak on the nose, supported by concentrated black cherry fruit and some kirsch-like booziness. The palate is drenched with tooth-coating tannins; this one needs at least 3 more years, probably 5+, and will last decades. Very fruit forward, and the concentration stands throughout the moderate finish. Needs substantial food to tame - I enjoyed with lamb chops off the grill. Am holding my …

Deep, red color, this wine from Priorat has big, fruity aromatics matching the big, fruity palate. On the nose, the smell of ripe red fruits and spices. On the palate, there's licorice, cherry with a touch of cinnamon spice. The 14.6% alcohol is well-integrated and provides a warming sensation on the finish. It matched well with a medium-well sirloin steak and baked potatoes. I bought a bottle of this at Shoppers Vineyard for $35.

Pnp. Very nice, but super young. Big oak, good structure, medium+ body but not overripe. Super dense and concentrated. I'll sit on my other bottles for a few years.

This Priorat is kind of structured and rustic. This is quite good but an acquired taste.
