Dark purple color, aromas of dark fruit and wet cedar. Flavors of blackberry, dark dried currant, and chocolate mousse a touch white pepper and acidity on the finish brighten the flavor and lengthen the finish. Needs about an hour to breath yet to develope the full flavor, still got a couple years left with no problem.

Medium dark purple, mildly aromatic with forest floor, white pepper and a whiff of cedar. Big full mouth filling luscious flavors of mascerated blackberry on dark chocolate mousse. Not a complex wine, but really delicious all the same. I find myself swishing th.is in my mouth and thinking, dang, this is delicious! Got guts for 5 more years, great now.

Garnet in glass, muted m nose; nicely matured with beautiful balance. Soft and juicy with a tannic finish. Seems to be a lot of bottle variation from reading the other notes, although I did catch iodine hints on a sister bottling....

January in Walla Walla; 1/25/2013-1/27/2013 (Walla Walla, WA) : A solid wine at a reasonable price. Vibrant blackberry aromas give way to rich, layered flavors of dark fruit, tobacco, and leather. Nice structure as well.
