A little bit on the serious, steely side. Red earthen fruit. Not much blue fruit or really anything fun--this comes pretty much as advertised. Could use a few more years.

Fruit has largely faded, leaving minerals, graphite, forest floor.

What Jeff Leve said. Great proportions and balance, spicy, easy to love.

Medium bodied, forward, open, easy to like and easy to drink, with its soft, open, spicy, plum and olive character.

This fresh, sweet, spicy, dark cherry and cocoa-filled wine should offer pleasure on release. 87-89 Pts

Slightly oxidised notes on the nose with a distinct bloody note. Quite light and fresh in style , with pretty red and floral fruit. Interesting flavors of peppery sausage show towards the back, with some vanilla coming through on the long finish.

Similar nose to 07 but maybe more smoke? Tannins sharper and more prevalent. Iodine? Interesting but not super enjoyable.

Angelus and Daugay Tasting at Binny's (Chicago, IL) : Weedy and green; not much fruit for the long haul. Quite acidic. Tannins are a bit light.
