Very much still alive. Dark ruby. Medium plus body. Black cherry and sour cherry with a little tar backing on palate and nose. Some light tertiary notes but still mostly fruit and some acid - maybe slow ox due to screw cap. Long finish. Fun old wine.

Very deep crimson colour with mauve hue. Aroma of spiced plum and stewed fruit, with hint of violets, white pepper and tar. The palate has great weight and complexity, due to the fact that the grapes once picked, were left out on racks to dry. Flavours of smoky tar, cherry, spice and a hint of earth. The tannins are soft. Excellent balance, moderate length, followed by aftertaste of spice and cherry. Nicks
