Canobolas~Smith Alchemy

Much better than the last bottle I opened. Still similar profile with blackberry, black cherry and some vanilla but it tasted much more youthful and alive. My last bottle but this tasted like it could go for at least a couple more years.

Lot's of blackberry and black cherry fruit. Some vanilla/oak notes but not overwhelming. Surprisingly for me, I think I liked this better a few years ago with the more "in-your-face" fruit. Still not bad, though, and a good pairing with grilled steak. Still has the tannins and acidity to age further, but I'm not sure I'll like it more as it matures.

Much better than a few years ago. A wine clearly hitting its stride. Not overally Aussie in nature which can be a good thing. A wine finally that is integrated with all of its parts.
