Bottle was past its prime and on its way down. Almost Skunky by 12/2011

Cleaning out my cellar -- clearly this is past its prime; had been jammy in the past, time to drink or drain.

We held a Zinfandel tasting where this wine came in second. It was an excellent combination of fruity and peppery. there was more fruit in this one, but it was not overly jammy or a "fruit bomb." It was up against an '04 that did not score nearly as well. So we will have to watch this company closely to see how it develops.

Lovely, spicy and full of fruit. Love this wine. Easy to drink and enjoy with most foods.

Berry jam, a little pepper. A whiff of funk on the nose, but maybe because it's 2007 and getting closer to the twilight years of its short expected drinking life (but not there yet). After a couple hours, it softened up nicely, and I enjoyed it.

Nice blackberry and cherry, but lacking complexity in the nose. Tannins are a little tight. Very enjoyable zin, but there are better options in this price range.

Good color and legs. A little sharp to the nose and pallet, but smooths our after a few breaths.

This zin paired well with both venison and chicken - the acidity level was just right. Maria and I both enjoyed.

Excellent midpriced Zinfandel. Folks, IMO, THIS is how a zinfandel should taste. Bold, jammy with some tannins and balanced acidity.

Some of the best Zinfandel I've had and Zin is my FAVORITE wine. Fruit forward with soft but noticable tannins.

Great berry flavors, definite tannin finish which could stand another year in the cellar. Always a good choice and really good value in the $17-$20 range.

OK mid-priced Zin with blackberry, spice and pepper but lacking the complexity of the bigger Zins.

Purchased for $19. A voluptuos, ripe style of zin, with juicy macerated berry flavors and pillowy tannins on the finish. A crowd pleaser for the non-winos at Thanksgiving yesterday. Drink now.
