4.5 Deep ruby. Cherry, blackberry, currant, earthy and oak notes. Dry, m+ tannin, m+ acid, full body. Pronounced blackberry, blueberry, cherry, touch of tart in the finish, maybe some cranberry. Oak and leather, cocoa. Balanced, and can easily go for many more years in the cellar. Outstanding.

Blind tasting. Absolutely not my kind of wine. Big, ripe, extracted and sweet dark fruit. Good length too but unbalance due to lack of acidity and freshness. Would have received a high Parker score in the old days though.

During an Italian blind tasting dinner. Very ripe, cooked fruit, super dark color, alcoholic, sweet and opulent. A Merlot on steroids. Some were even guessing Barossa.
