(Toh-Bo) Magnifique! Petite évolution, grosse tension! Un pH de 3,08 qui «énergise» la bouche, une palette aromatique fine, grillée, amande, prune, et une finale saline et saillante juste magique! Le Jura que j’adore, droit, fin et virevoltant ! 92-93?

"Chardonnay - ancienne selection massale - 66 ares, 2 vignes plantees en 1932 et 1940 - argile de decalcification sur socle calcaire Bajocien - esposition Est - altitude 280 - elevage 19 mos futs 228L - mise BT. 04/05/16 - pH 3.10 - SO2 libre < 6 mg/L - total 9 mg/L" This was shrill, thin, and acidic when first opened. It just kept getting richer and better with air. The moral here is to decant. The nose and palate …

Golden color Grilled lemon, creamy, hazelnuts in the nose Very high acidity, grilled lemon, ripe apples, a touch of hazelnuts, balanced aftertaste. Great match with fried perch.

Golden. Rich nose with stewed apples and citrus notes. Absolutely delicious! Palate similar to nose with added exotic passion fruit and a long citrus finish which tends to grapefruit bitterness on airing. Still youthful despite Mr K's comments but in a perfect drinking window with only a hint natural/oxidative character that adds to the complexity. A majestic Chardonnay with a bold presence from a tiny parcel of just over half an hectare. Drink or hold.

On day one, either I or the wine was out of form - it seemed overly acidic against rather thin fruit, mostly oxidized apple and ripe lemon, along with notes of vanillin and old wood from the barrel aging. On day two though, it for some reason seemed much fresher and to me better - it was more freshly squeezed lemon and red apple, although the acidity seemed a tad high still. A good wine and I'll rate it 90, …

Still very good, full of Jura character - loads of lemon and sweet mint coupled with red apples and chalk to a lesser extent. I did love it more two years ago and had meant to drink bottle two out of two sooner.

Nice jura chardonnay with a lot of acidity and cool climate style, no vanilla, no nuts. I preferred the savagnin. 90-91

Has put on some more weight since last time. Lovely notes of lemon, sorbet-ish. White and yellow tropical fruit, butter, lots of various apples, apple sauce. The acidity is still present but mor polished than last bottle. Creamy with notes of nougat and walnuts. Ready to go, won't get much better imo. Delivers way above its price.

Well that's hazard. Described as a vin "de voile", this is not so oxydised, it is lively, full of personnality, a kind of rusticity. Reduction notes, acidity and some wallnuts, roasted coffee beans, shy oriental spice, and light chalk. The balance is on the organic side, on the strong acidity pilar. A bit hasardous, still great. After decanting four hours, the wine is more clustered, more balance and mostly more powerfull, making the oxydised side more discret.

Creamy lemons, sweet herbs and crushed rocks. Open and highly drinkable, but with quite high acidity. Really nice!

SAQ N° 11556952 100% Chardo.

Long et fort gouteux.

12.0% - Clear, med+ straw / clean, med+ intensity - lemon custard, meringue, creamy, toast, toffee / dry, med+ acidity, med+ unctuous body, med to pronounced intensity, lingering finish with a saline mineral edge. Scores high on the pleasure/price ratio! I could sniff & sip this all day long. 92+

Superbe!

Lemon, lime, grass, chives and lots of crushed stones and minerality. Crisp and energetic with a typical "Jura-kind of smoky minerality" I often find in these wines. Still powerful acidity but my guess is it has settled down atleast a tiny bit since release. Short-medium long aftertaste. On day three the wine has stepped up a level and really brings it, a bit more polished and balanced, beautiful. No rush with remaining bottles, in fact I'm going to sit on …

This bottle had rested for a while in room temperature storage - and my oh my had something happened, this was so developed and fine it blew my mind. I think I need to hold my labet wines a bit longer....

Green apples, grapefruit and peach, with a creamy lemon and a hint of appetizing chalky minerality. This is insanely good QPR, being Labet's entry level wine on the white side. Disappeared alarmingly fast and was blazing straight out of the bottle. Love it!

What an interesting Chardonnay. It certainly isn't a Burgundy or anything else I am familiar with. Typical aromas of pineapple, apricot, honey, lemongrass and oyster shell. Slightly natural aromas of hay, red apple and cheese. Super fresh and lively. Medium bodied on the palate, with moderately aggressive, rustic, lemony acid, spice notes, buckets of mineral and a mouthwatering finish. It's the texture that makes this wine different, and yet I can't describe it. Perhaps it is missing the chalk, apparently …
