Debonné Chambourcin

Lean youthful nose with a hint of cinnamon. Still closed. Palate was spicy, with pepper and a refreshing bitterness we normally associate with Italian wines. Light red berry fruit with a blueberry essence. We enjoyed this wine a lot and were not previously familiar with this grape variety. It was an excellent match to our black bean chilli, though felt it was too young to drink now and would benefit from a couple more years in bottle to integrate.
