Mandia Vell Pinot Noir

My first PN from Mallorca and an explosively bold and powerfully one with 14.5% abv, aged in FR oak for 12 months. Deep ruby colour. Intense and rich aroma of tar, cherries, leather, smoky plums, licorice, tobacco, toast. Medium+ body, interesting and unorthodox PN structure braced with power and density, tense and nervous structure, juicy and fleshy red and black fruit flavours, smoky nuances, quite high tannins and acidity, warm finish, lacking in subtlety and balance.

By the glass. Pinot certified bio with aging of 12 months in French oak. It stands out for its direct aromas of cherries presented on wooden planks. On the palate it is more dense than velvety, more overturned in wood than in fruit. Unbalanced acidity and no personality at all. Finishing alcoholic (14.5%). Bottle confusion. Por copas. Quite robust and heavy Pinot. Dark fruited but still has good energy and tension. Could be very interesting with some age. 88+
