Weekly tasting group RWP #233; French or not French? (@ My place) : This was in fact a very pleasant surprise beside the overripe Spanish Grandes Vinos y Viñedos Cariñena Beso de Vino Selección of the same varietals. Pleasant red berries and herbs and spices in the bouquet. On the palate juicy red berries, good fresh acidity, some coffee, soft tannin and some pleasant bitterness. Ready now and next year. 86+

Weekly tasting group #180; A fully blind test. (@ My place) : Tasted blind PnP. Clear red. The bouquet is a bit locked with cherries and red berries. On the palate a good concentration, cherries and red berries again, some herbs and spices, a good amount of acidity, soft tannin and still youthful. Not very complex, but certainly a clean and ok wine.

Consistent with previous note. The wine is completely ready now and will dink nicely over the next few years. Nothing really exclusive, but for the price more than ok.

Sweet ripe red fruits and some garrigue in the bouquet. On the palate a firm amount of sweetness and soft acidity. Round tannin with no sharp edges and a touch of ok bitterness in the finish. Overall a very pleasant easy drinker with 13.5% abv which is nice. Drink now and the next few years. 85+

slightly reduced nose, herbs, some spice some chew, touch raisins a bit hot and over-baked some nuttiness lots of flavour and some will like this but it does taste a bit stewed to me £8.99 at lidl there are much better CDR out there for this price
