This was tasted at the winery. The nose has some floral, lavender like notes along with a mix of black and red fruit, and some pepper. Very soft mouthfeel, with more subtle fruit than some might be accustomed to for a California Syrah. Tasted very much like a Northern Rhone, and has a sneaky long finish. It could use a few more years, but you could certainly drink it now with a nice long decant.

At a Flangan wine tasting in NYC/David Burke's Kitchen in Soho with dessert. Rich red fruit nose. Palate of medium red fruits, mild spice. medium body and finish (for Syrah). Nice, but not much there
