Hue is relatively dark taken into account it’s 13y old wine. Open nose with attractive notes of dark berries, cherry and hints of oak. Palate is extremely silky and balanced. Fruit is starting to fade, structure is still there though. I’d love to see more elegance here, but it’s quite rustic. Medium finish. Probably starting to decline.

A bargain Bordeaux for Sunday dinner. 13 years old at 16€ isn’t too bad and the wine is decent as well. Ripe red berries, plum, cinnamon, cedar and some light earthy notes. Hefty tannins and decent structure - overall a great weekend wine.

Dark juicy plum. Mature and woody with a bit of dust. Good balance and full body. Good value.

Following a bad pairing with steak, I had to open a Bdx to show the GF what we were missing. Oak, plum, vanilla and a med finish, med+ tannins and decent acidity. For the price (179 SEK, 17 EUR) it’s good value. That being said, it’s a 13 year old Bdx sold at that price so the quality isn’t record breaking.

Dark berries. Leaning towards dark dusty plums with a slight hint of chocolate in the background. Present rounded tannins, medium acidity. Nice easy drinking.

The harsh tannins have faded, leaving plenty of plush, ripe fruit, but it’s very one-dimensional and bland. Not bad but expensive for what it is.

nice integrated tannins and fruit, but a little bit too heavy and too much alcohol

On the one hand, this has plush, ripe fruit with good intensity. On the other, it has rather chalky tannins, which give it decent grip, but also a harsh, bitter finish that is unpleasant. Hopefully this will improve in another year or two, but the overall impression is not as good as it could be.

[Tasted at Mövenpick] Massive concentration, but also simple, forward and easy drinking, a crowd pleaser. But because of the tannin structure, I am smitten as well. 89+
