d'Arenberg The Noble Viognier Semillon Marsanne Riesling

Dinner at a casual restaurant and off of the wine list. Perfectly serviceable wine to go with Cajun shrimp and Jamaican-spiced salmon. Screw top (didn't bother me) and pale clear wine. Interesting floral nose with citrus and some nuts, plus a whiff of petroleum jelly. The blend includes some white Rhone varieties and Sauvignon Blanc with the Riesling and that gave some additional depth to the nose. Slight sweetness in the finish that enhanced the savory flavors of the meal. …
