Red cherries and cinnamon spice with a dry high acid palate. The fruit profile had accents of cough syrup upon initial opening, but gradually came into balance. The alcohol stands out a bit. Still a high quality Sangiovese.

Really enjoyed this. PNP with spaghetti and meatballs. Lots of fruit, acid, smooth tannins, spice, and a little earthiness. Great finish.

Light red. Quite open right away. Red cherry, berry and spice. There is also a bit of earthiness starting to develop. Dry spicy red cherry flavours and some really aggressive tannins that disappear with food. Delicious now with dinner.

Well, well, well. Young Chianti, but my piece of cake... ooops - wine. Powerful with a lot of spice, vivid acidity and tannins, that bite my tongue, but... But lovely ripe red cherry, cranberry, blackberry, black cherry, minerals. You would think - this is chaotic mix. No. Everything play the same rock and roll. Not Elvis Presley, but rather Gary Glitter with double drums. Very long finish with spice, black coffee, black olives. Velvety texture. Smell? Not so excited. Minerals, …

Introduction to Tuscany wine tasting (Ksiazki i Wino) : Once again the hit of the night! It's really so hard for people not to like the San Giusto Chianti Classico. Starting from the intense ruby red color, at the nose it has raspberry and forest fruits, rosemary, balsamic and undergrowth. On the palate it is very intense taste and medium bodied, with juicy young tannins and quite easy to drink without being an easy wine. The finish it's very long, …

Light medium red. Fresh red fruit nose, cherry and cassis moving towards earthiness. Very dry tannic finish and some dry red fruit flavours. Needs time.

“purity of the fruit” is not how I would describe this wine but dense and very ripe. Pass.

Farven meget tæt og næsten uigennemsigtig. Mørkerød, Purpur. Meget klar og skinner lidt. Duften er pænt åben. Meget ungdommelig. Masser af modne bær. Blåbær er tydelig. Kan fornemme træfade. Virkelig dejlig.

Nice cherry fruit, very fresh and juicy still quite primary. Ready to be consumed could stay in the bottle for another 5 years. The wine drinks very well, it has a nice acidity and fruit. That said, not super complex, at least at this stage and for sure compared to the 2021 vintage of the same bottling that we tasted side-by-side.

Ruby red color. Expressive nose, raspberries, red 🍒. Very fragrant. Palate is juicy, nice acidity. Supple tannins, red 🍒 and raspberries also on the palate. Hint of leather and finishes with gripping (in a good way) tannins. Long. Excellent with the chops and fennel puree

Medium-deep ruby red in color. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, plums & strawberries with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, herbs, spices, minerals & a hint of iron in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of sour cherries, plums & strawberries with herbs, spices & minerals. Lingering finish. Accessible at present with decanting & extended airing (90+ min.) but has the structure …

Left a large glass under vacuvin for 3 whole days- what’s in the glass on day 4 now has that comforting inviting richly developed sangiovese nose and palate that I crave. Outstanding quality at its price point

Italy walkabout tasting, no detailed tasting notes. Better than the Fontodi next to it. Compact, dark fruit, tannins are of good quality, dry yet not drying, and need some more years.

I love this. If you like Sangiovese find this and buy it. One of the few (comparatively) well priced examples of a top tier grower from Italy that you can find relatively easily and still afford.

Classic (for a young San Giusto) intense ruby red color, at the begin it's quite shy (in latest vintage only 2018 and 19 were open) and slow to open up, but still shows raspberry and forest fruits, spicy and balsamic, with herbs and a hint of undergrowth. On the palate it has the mentioned rough tannins with high acidity. Very intense taste and medium bodied, juicy and quite easy to drink without being an easy wine. The finish it's long …

Wine tasting with Luca Martini di Cigala at San Giusto a Rentennano winery (San Giusto a Rentennano) : Second wine of the flight, initially not so expressive at the nose, a whole lot of things are happening on the palate instead, it's young and with still grippy tannins but with a long future ahead. 90+ (can't wait to open one in the winter)
