Drinking this 2017 vintage in 2024 a bit passed it’s drink window. The wine held up nicely. Medium body and smooth.

Very bland. Used it for cooking (beef stew).

Du gros velours et du maquillage à profusion ici. Gros fruit extrait, surfait et in your face. Zéro finesse et complexité. Aucun tannins et acidité basse. Oui c`est long et souple mais un verre est de trop pour moi. Major pass dans mon cas.

Mukavan mausteinen, vähän kuin apothicin inferno.

Tasting Note from the second night. Quite dark, almost black but with a light red hue. Pepper and spice, dry rotted wood. Strong, sweet Plum, blackberry, cocoa. Full body, long finish, tannin is Fine but very persistent, can feel it well after the wine has gone. Acidity is a bit high. Nice front flavours but it finishes dry and sharp.

Light, fruity, still young (a little bit of bite). Enjoyable, would but again.

Aired in the glass for a half hour. The nose wasn't too impressive with subtle dark fruit and some oaky notes. On the palate full bodied, rather smooth with gentle tannins, showing decent restrained dark fruit with subtle oaky flavors and a tad of whisky as well (believe it or not). Decent acidic structure with a bit of heat on the finish. Overall quite balanced without too much oak or overripe fruit. This was much better than expected after reading …

Trop froid, pas carafé, peut-être pas les meilleures conditions. Difficile à apprécier.

Cellar Door Fest (Adelaide) : Finished in Chivas whisky barrels, and quite popular among the crowds passing by. Smoky nose of berries and light spice. Rich raspberry palate with mouth-coating tannin and medium-low acid. OK.
