Gorgeous aromas of violets, dark flavors great purity pretty blackberry fruits and nice balance of fruit and tension. Extremely well made with a long life ahead. Nice bitter dark chocolate finish.

Going backwards in the wines from tonight's event at Harold's with the guys from the Naples Wine Geeks. This was my first bottle. 2 hour double decant then slow ox'd for an hour or so at the restaurant. This is 80% Cab and 20% Cab Franc but it's playing out as mostly Cab Franc with this bottle. A beautiful, rich full bodied wine. The nose has more red fruit scents than comes thru on tasting. There is also a hint of lilac on the nose. The taste is an explosion of huge dark fruit and black cherry with a hint of chocolate. Has the acidity to allow the big fruit flavors to come thru without even a hint of becoming jammy. Absolute monster right now - which I really like. Decanted and tasted over 6 hours and absolutely loved the super high concentration of gorgeous fruit.

It was decanted and sat for an hour before drinking at a restaurant. Blue black fruits, vanilla oak, some spice and smoke on the nose that carries through to the palate. I don't think that at this time I'd give it the scores that everyone else has but it might get there in a few years.
