Bottle one of one. Very enjoyable, this. Pure and lifted with bright red cherry and raspberry fruits. Easily the match of any similarly priced Chianti Classico and Rosso di Montalcino and, like those wines tend to be, a perfect midweek drinker. This is the type of wine that makes me realise the flaw in my “buy less but better strategy”, as I actually prefer this to her Le Lucciole Riserva that I had last year (2016 vintage). Bright mid ruby. Nose of red cherry, black cherry, redcurrant, leaf, smoke, meat, toast & strawberry. Decent body, strong acidity, ripe but slightly chalky tannin. To taste cherry, raspberry, redcurrant, strawberry, toast, smoke, spices, white pepper & leather. Long. Very good. Lovely balance and range of flavours. Quite smooth and positive development. No rush.

Pop and pour. Tasted over 3 days with vacuvin cap in between days. Grassl Cru stem. Ruby garnet color. Nose is sangiovese. Shows some red clay and herbal notes with dark cherry and berries and some mushroom. Good balance of fruit and savory notes with acidity. Tannins nicely integrated. Very enjoyable sangiovese. 14%abv.

Drinking great for a young Sangiovese, the tannins are fine and well managed, the fruit has depth and crisp acidity, the finish is long, at this price and level it’s hard to see a better value and a perfect midweek drinker

Very well made Sangiovese, with true varietal character. Spicy , ripe fruit with ample acidity. None of the earthen attributes of CC or Montalcino. More of a simple pleasure but good, nonetheless. Good qpr.

Mostly if not all Sangiovese. Interesting. Like Chianti but not. The acidity is there with quite a dry, almost austere finish, but expansive mid-palate. The finish is on the shorter side with a slightly abrupt end. Decent but I wanted a bit more.

Black currant, eucalyptus, licorice, and whole-cluster stemmy green notes. Dusty tannins and low acidity. It definitely needs air; I gave it three hours of slow ox and it came together after some time in the glass. Absurd value for <$20. I hear Chiara Condello is reaching cult wine status, but that’s okay. We stan female winemakers.

The town of Predappio is (in)famous as Benito's Mussolini hometown. Alright folks, time to drink some Moose Juice. Violets, black cherries, red cherries, new leather, black pepper, black licorice.
