Deep extraction. Blackberries, brambleberries, black cherries, and black currants. Medium tannins. Full mouth feel. Eucalyptus. Long legs. Excellent food wine and just to sip. Cabernet Franc is rarely great by itself. This winery consistently proves that isn't a universal truth. First tasted at the winery in 2003. Always looking for a new vintage to add to the cellar.

Took advice from other members and decanted for an hour with great results. The wine opened up with red fruit aromas and flavors dominated by plum with a hint of herbal spiciness. Mouthwatering astringency on a long finish. This wine holds up well with food. A very good alternative to the typical varietals and blends.

Three hour decant. Raisin, baklava, coffee grounds, pencil lead, bitter chocolate and a hint of marmalade on the beautiful nose. Smooth palate and firm tannins on the medium long finish.

Menu decanted, but left in decanter one hour before pouring back in the bottle. Dark purple color. Raisin, aluminum can, white pepper and floral honey on the nose. Smooth palate with good balance of tannins and acidity. Rounded tannins on medium, spicy finish.

Simply excellent! Like a great French Franc but without the earthiness.

Great wine with a long finish. Mouth waters for 30 second dafter sip. Sweet up front with a velvety mid palate.

Lovely earth, dark berries, and chocolate on the nose. Layered flavor that had a great finish. Well worth the wait!

I could not wait to open because I had favorite memories at the wine tasting room. The wine was amazing but the reason I gave the score I did because the next day the wine went flat. My advice when you open a great bottle drink it all and enjoy the memories.

This CF was solid. Quite full-bodied and very aromatic. Not worth the price charged for it, but never the less a good wine. Enjoyed it with a ribeye steak.

Really enjoyed this with a grilled pork chop. Tannins mellowed nicely from when I tasted this at the winery a couple of years ago.

Great concentrated dark red fruit with some spice and a bit of that Cab Fanc earthiness. Enough tannins and acidity to provide a solid structure. Definitely one of the better California Cab Francs I've tried.

*Tasting Not Blind* My first tasting of any wine from this winery, and I haven't had many straight Cab Francs from Cali. Some light floral notes on the nose, and a subtle hint of perfume. Beautiful red fruit, followed up by allspice notes. On the palate it was full and rich. Decent balance between the acidity and alcohol with enough fruit and tannin to match. Would have liked a little more acidity from this varietal, but was still ok. Easy …

Perfect with the grilled ribeye. Dried cherry and rasberry up front. Licorice and cassis with a little flint. Good pepper as it warmed up. Agressive tannins that linger for minutes. Again, great with grilled beef. Could age well for 5+ years.

Reddish orange Cab Franc color. Nose is floral, light oak and rich fruit. Nice. Big blood orange and sweet bing cherry red fruit palate, bit of sweet red/green Italian peppers, tight finish, this has a few years ahead. Still young and needs decanting or long open.

This was a pleasant find on my last day at Napa. I loved the font and the color of the PEJU as we drove by and this is not a good way to pick a vineyard. The Cab Franc was worth the stop. The taste was full and bold taste and not plummy. The color was a rich red. I can't wait for 2012 to open this bottle but it's ready to drink.

Too early for this great big wine. had I held it for longer it would certainly go to the next level. Patience grasshopper! Still a great treat for the 2006 blizzard.

Rose petals, vanilla and licorice comes to mind on the nose, however we tasted this wine after a few bottles at a party. The finish had a bite to it probably somewhat of a characteristic of the franc. Of the 6 people weighing in, however, my rank of 83 was the lowest. We had rankings from mid 80's up to a 91 of the 6 of us at the time
