Hop Kiln / HKG Wines Pinot Noir Bridge Selection

This wine won a 5 person blind tasting against 3 other RRV Pinots, 08' Alysian Rochioli, 09' DonumEstate and 10' Dehlinger Goldridge, probably because it was the smoothest and easiest to drink even though it lacked some depth or complexity.

Same notes as others. Great pinot nose of this area. Cherries, cola, good finish and some floral scents on the nose. A nice wine that begs to be drank

Healdsburg 4/7/2012 (Healdsburg, CA) : Lightly sweet and dry

A pretty cherry red in the glass; dark but with some transparency. Prominent nose of red fruit and a bit of oak. Palate was smooth and more red fruit - basic RRV pinot taste. Smooth, easy drinking, fruit-forward wine; enjoyable and fresh. Adding some complexity to the mix would take the wine to the next level; would love to taste side by side with Rochioli, whose vineyards are adjacent.

Cherries...clean, but needs something more...38 bucks? sheesh! The pinot rally might be jumping the shark.

Rich and balanced with dominant cherry fruit and med acid.

Medium dark cherry red color with 5 millimeter clear meniscus; ripe cherry, raspberry nose; rich, plush, ripe cherry, tart raspberry, cranberry palate; medium-plus finish
