JERM's note is spot on with the description. Good complexity, old world-ish, towards the end of its life, somewhat lacking personality. Good. Drink now.

(kara'age w elaine) Funky sousbois, mossy, mushroom, black raspberries, blueberries, cranberry, ashy leather. Palate is linear, clean, translucent, if somewhat poster-color. Good concentration, firm acidity, leafy tea sweetness. Certainly developed, clean and drinking well, with fine velvety tannins, if somewhat lacking personality. Finishes midbodied, clean, ashy with hints orange peel and grapefruit bitters. Pleasant and paired nicely w the kara'age chicken.

Decent, but light. Somewhat simplistic, with basic tart cherry flavors. It would be good with a pork dish. Drink up.

Good, not great. A bit rough, though it does present a wide array of flavors on the pallete.
