Really enjoyable, medium body but could use some more depth in flavor. Light and smooth for an expected big wine. Not sure any more cellaring will improve, drink window likely now.

Very bold with nice acidity. Jammy flavors and held strong throughout the night, great with steak or heavy meal.

This bottle was corked. Slight chlorine/chemical note and funky overall taste with low fruit.

Really in "the spot" right now. Still pretty big, but mellowing. The initial hit was dark berries and earth, with cocoa and charcoal. Full but mellow body. Tannins and acid still there to provide a very lovely finish. As things opened up there was more juicy red fruit. Still a couple good years here, for sure.

Decanted 1 hour. This is amazing stuff! Nose of cassis fruit and forest floor, with a sweet undertone. Full body, with tannins that grow with air. This started out drinking smooth, but got quite astringent at about hour 4. Flavors of currant, plum, toasty oak and espresso on the finish. Tannins really took over at the 4-hour mark. Interested to see what this is like tomorrow...funneled into a 375 bottle to try tomorrow night. I think the CT window closing …

this is a big and incredible wine. Hour plus decant, beautiful nose, deep floral, spice, earth. Mouth, even better. Silky, smooth, cassis, graphite, deep and dark fruits, loooong finish, 30 seconds plus, lingers on your tongue and inside your mouth. Very nice, wish I had more

BIG WINE, with lots of fruit on the nose, amazing fruit flavor, and crushing tannin. Party host mentioned "I feel like they melted a Buick into this wine". Granted, wine isn't his thing, but the tannins were substantial when it was first opened. Luckily, within an hour or so, the air allowed it to open up into a beautiful, balanced wine. Dark red fruit, cherry, a touch of pepper, earth, and a delicious mocha finish. Glad I have another bottle …

I was struck by the similarity in the nose between this and the 07 HA kayli morgan- a very full cabernet profile with dusty cassis and blackberry liqueur. The big difference was the massive heat on this bottle that never quite went away. I really wanted to disregard the faults in favor of the beautiful carbernet qualities, but while the aromatics were mesmerizing, in the end the searing sensation and the thinness of fruit on the midpalate detracted from the …
