Outstanding calva! All the usual Apple notes but so smooth...and this is coming from someone who was raised in this stuff.

A private lunch (Restaurant Le Moissonnier **, Cologne, Germany) : The nose is a magical blend of fresh apple, custard cream, smoky bacon, candy, spice and wood; the palate is smooth and soft but packing a punch, intense and concentrated yet very elegant, mature but not too woodsy; flavoursome and long. Excellent.
