a rosé with substantial body. well-balanced and a decent finish but not as floral as I was expecting. may try again.

Darker rose, with darker rose flavors, yet still good minerality. Decent amount of complexity. An enjoyable fuller style of Tavel.

Ham smoked salmon smoked turkey. Stands up to food. Will quench fire. Savory mild spicy. Mild curry. Parmesan cheese. Picnics, grilled pork sausage. Not an overnight wine.

Sweet grapefruit to nose. Slight cotton candy. Good body. Great for ham, smoked turkey. It will quench spice. Sweet strawberry in back of tongue. Light grapefruit to after taste.

At first it is strawberries and more strawberries. Then other red fruits join in. Creamy but with enough acid to stay interesting. Pretty decent finish for a rosé. Went nicely on a warm fall evening on the patio.

An impressive Tavel with intense strawberry, cranberry, and cherry tones. Definitely had some real weight to it. A heavyweight rose.

The color of dark peach, the bouquet contains strawberry, watermelon and peaches. On the palate it has a pleasant acidity mixed with the watermelon and peach theme. A touch of minerality is present also, very nice Summer fare.

not very good. there was a bit of a funk, no complexity

On hésite à donner une forte note à un rosé mais celui-ci la mérite. Il est vraiment très bon, tout en fruit (la framboise) mais sans être bonbon. En fait, on pourrait croire à un rouge à l'aveugle totale. Mon rosé préféré de 2013 avec le Whispering Angel, un peu plus cher.

To my taste, strawberry was the dominant note (with some floral undertones) but I noticed only one other taster mentioned it.

The wine looks Salmon colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like and Black currant (cassis). It tastes like Black currant (cassis), Black currant (cassis), and Black currant (cassis). The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Polished texture. The wine finishes Medium.

2005 vintage

Light ruby color, transitioning to a salmon hue at the rim. Light nose of ripe fruit and flowers, with a very faint savory note. Starts very clean, before rounding out towards the back of the palate with a big cherry, fruit punch like flavors. Abrupt finish, not a ton of acidity. Nice drinking now on a hot day, paired well with pasta and fig & proscuitto salad.

Saturday Wine Tasting (Chicago, IL) : Beautiful rose and strawberry tones blend nicely with minerals and herbs on the palate. Just a lovely rose.

Nice strawberry favors and much heavier in body than I would usually associate with a Rosé, a little bitter on the finish. Much better with tonight's dinner of kale salad with apples, walnuts and grilled chicken.

Tasted with the 2010. Obviously not the current vintage, but an interesting showing, with more red wine aromas and tastes than one would typically associate with a rosé.

Not my fav rose as i try a few this summer. Nose has some light fruit. Palate is sharp and moderately bitter and kind of unpleasent for me. I get the notes from other reviewers, but is overwhelmed by other notes...

Nose: Cornbread and slate mineral aromas. Palate: Less dry than other vintages I've had from this producer. Also darker in color (perhaps this saw more skin exposure than other vintages?). Flavors of strawberry, mineral and a little bitter quality that keeps this from scoring a little higher. A decent Tavel.

Fuller bodied than most rose. Great herbal notes and minerality. I would say not really strawberry on the palate - too heavy for that, but maybe watermelon and spice and garrique. Very nice.

With Susanne's marinated broiled salmon. Good pairing with the fish. This wine has softned nicely and displays pretty red strawberry fruit. The alcohol is not noticeable at all, and the wine comes across as being serious without being intruding. Elegant and fresh with a slight sweetnes to it. This is in a good spot right now, but will probably be okay for another 2-4 years. I like this Tavel much more than the over hyped, over extracted, over alcoholic Tavel …

nice medium to medium dark pink color nose: mostly strawberry on the nose with a little bit of lemon zest on it too taste: again, mostly strawberry, but there is a nice tartness to it that also brings in some lemon on teh back end. overall: this is a nice easy quaffer. simple, but does those simple things well. nothing mind blowing about this in the slightest, but its good. A quick finish with more lemon on the finish

Good QPR. Serve cool and enjoy with the right food. Strawberry with a nice viscosity and decent finish - not looonggg. Not a profound wine, mind me. :)
