Bischöfliche Weingüter Trier Eitelsbacher Marienholz Riesling

Pale. Mineral, lime, a touch of spice and smoke. Good balance, clean and mineral, spatlese weight but a little crisper and drier. Decent enough. **

Pale, bright... lots of tiny bubbles cling to glass. Sublte+ nose of minerals, and flowers. Slight spritz on tongue. Palate of crisp apple, creamy ripe pear, lemon, and mineral (minor). Medium long finish dominated by pears over (shorter) mineral edge. Not far off dry. Not especially complex, but very nice+ (1day later: less spritzy, but otherwise little changed). (2days later: No spritz, and very much improved. Richer pear, added peach, cleansing lemon acidity, mineral finish)
