Very good, a bit rough after opening, but after a day the merlot cabernet combination delivered a fruity, plummy tastle with licorice. Great deal for 6?.

Red with a slight purple tinge. Green pepper, peppercorns and aniseed on nose. Similar taste along with a touch of oak. Acidic, rustic finish. Opened with time but a little thin. Acceptable but better value is available.

Noticeably light in colour, this is quite thin and insubstantial. However it's still fresh, serviceable and drinking quite nicely on its own as well as with chicken & mushroom paté. Obvious merlot on the nose, a little spice. It's just watery and light on the palate. However the acidity is attractive. This is a good wine for basic drinking, which is reflected in the price.
