Nose of barnyard and bright vinegar like acidity with some roasted chocolate. The palate is clean and has a light red textured finish. There is nice cherry component to this. Finish is clean. Delicious!

Medium ruby red with a touch of sediment. A bit of dirty cellar on the nose to start then opens up with some earthiness, dried cherries and truffles. Medium tannins (5.5/10) and medium plus acidity. Notes of earth, dried cherries, herbs, and forest floor. Long and dry finish. Drink till 2021.

The last of 3 bottles and the best one: the other 2 opened some years ago were not accessible due to the very high acidity. This one is well balanced, the acidity well integrated. Mainly cherry, some blueberries, tannins and after 2 hours some developed notes.

Medium brick to garnet red. A little mute on the nose to start with a touch of earthiness, strawberries, and some spices. Mouthwatering acidity (7/10), moderate tannins (5/10) and light plus to medium bodied. Tart cherries and strawberries on the palate with some dirt and some herbs. Long and dry finish. Has the acidity to go a couple more years. Drink till 2019.

Looks thinner and more petroleum/olives on the nose and palate than our selections so far tonight. Strawberry and acidity with tannins lower at 6/10. An outdoor hot day wine.

December Themed Tastings; 12/22/2016-12/29/2016 (At Home) : Third vintage we have tried and so far not a fan of the 2005. To start cork was very odd with mold on the top but none on the inside. Medium garnet red with moderate sediment. Interesting and tart nose with lots of strawberries, red cherries, slightly dirty, petrol and some sharp acidic fruit like pineapple. A blend of Grenache (70%), Carignan (15%) and Sumoll (15%). The grapes are fermented spontaneously on indigenous yeasts and macerated for 10 days. Aged for 10 months in stainless steel. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Vinified with no sulfites (total SO2 7 mg/l). 14% alcohol. Somewhat translucent black cherry color. Rather restrained and even somewhat closed nose with vague aromas of wizened dark berries, some funky earthy tones and a hint of raisiny fruit. Rather underwhelming feel. The wine feels moderately …

Found this super interesting. Enticingly salty with a slightly oxidative bouquet but freshens up entirely on the palate retaining its umami and presenting a deep vein of iron-tinged dark fruit and black pepper.

Oxidativa drag och ganska tydlig mognad. Frukten är solmogen och drar åt lite mosiga plommon och kirsch. Finns även en del jordighet och lite örtighet. Mjukt och avrundat i munnen med ganska fyllig kropp och trevlig mognad. Ett gott vin, men inget som sticker ut.

Had this at a b-day event for my wife. Popped and poured, no formal nots. What I remember about this wine is the crushed blueberries on the nose with a graphite note that I really liked. And the palate was major blueberries, but not overly sweet, more like actual blueberry juice that is tart. I really enjoyed this bottle, but wasn't in any form to rate or really get into the wine.
