Featherstone Chardonnay Cuvée Joy

Here's a very pleasant 100% Chardonnay sparkler, made in the traditional method, from Niagara's Twenty Mile Bench sub-appellation on the Escarpment, offering notes of lemon, pear, melon, grapefruit, and biscuit, along with a slight nutty funk that creeps in with time in the open. It's sour but refreshing, with nice fruit complexity, drying bitterness on the finish, zippy acidity, and a medium-bodied texture that features wonderfully small bubbles, reminiscent of rather more expensive French bubblies (though this is rather overpriced …

Refreahing, crisp but not acidic. Semi-dry brut style, medium bubbles.

Easy drinking, refreshing. No complex flavours here. Clean, dry and crisp.
