Popped and poured this 14 year old yesterday. Initially it had firm acids and mouthfeel with intrusive alcohol. She steadied and softened revealing a beautifully mature wine. Black tea, dark red fruit, mushroom. Medium to light weight. At its apogee or straddling for my tastes I’ve got to find the other 5 bottles CT says are in my off site storage to drink over the next year A treat!

Fruit is waning, so a bit acidic, but drank well with duck. Certainly a well made and enjoyable wine

How does Tunnell get such perfect balance of concentration, fruit, body, and acidity? So much emerges from such a pale, lightly colored wine. Loved it. And '10 not the known as the greatest of Willamette vintages.

drinking rather well, still saving a few bottles as it still has time to cherish

Not bad, but a bit disappointing, rather tired and dull. Good rustic qualities.

Brick House has done better. Light in color, very nice strawberry/cherry aromas with a bit of smoke, but rather short and thin on the finish. A lovely little wine.

This wine was much better than the one I tasted a year ago. It is much more integrated and smooth. Lots of tart cherry on the palate, leading to a relatively nice finish. Improving!

On the nose there is seemingly sappy red fruit, in the vein of cherries and ripe raspberries, along with fresh tilled moist soil. It's vibrant nose belies its light color and 13% alcohol. On the palate any thought of sap ends as a bright, acidic, savory wine unfolds. More cherries surface, along with grapefruit, dirt, bitter melon, herbs. This is extremely elegant and transparent and aromatic stuff. One of the better expressions of Oregon terrior I've had.

This wine is not there yet and may not get there. I have 4 more btls to find out! It's trying for a Burghundian approach, but doesn't seem to get there.

Good Oregon PN, but not exciting. Austere and reserved, some fruit and earthy flavors, but short finish and not very memorable.

Previous notes are still spot on. The earthy moss and mushrooms are very present. But so is the bright red cherry and hints of strawberry. This applies to the nose and when on the palate. Medium body and slightly cloudy. The finish is not long but the wine is solid and a shows the Oregon style.

Just really pretty wine, a bit round, but in a nice way. AWFE cocktail wine, if that makes any sense.

Solid OR Pinot. Dark cherry and Oregon funk on on the nose. On the palate the cherry and mossy earth are very present. Soft tannin's but the finish was not extremely long or memorable.

Certainly less impressed than others, bottle was a little flat for me today. Should have let age a little more.

Wine Blogger's Conference 2012- Oregon Wines; 8/15/2012-8/18/2012 (Portland, OR) : Anise, dark cherry, eucalyptus and earthy aromas. Earthy fruit palate with mineral, earth and cedar depth. Firm acid and silky fine tannin. Medium finish. Looks good so far.

Incredibly juicy at the moment. Primary, but in a more fruit juice way than I'm used to, like cherry and grape juice mixed together. Not overly sweet, though I have some concerns about a perceived lack of tannins or overall structure. Plenty of acidity, will be interesting to see where this goes over the next five to eight years.

This wine also showed really well, but while almost neck and neck with the 2010 Tonnelier, it was a bit more closed. I think it, too, was bottled within last 6-8 weeks. Has Pommard clones planted in a region where there is more volcanic soil. More minerality and rock notes with variety of spices balance the very slightly blacker fruit profile. As with the others, this is very feminine, very beautiful, and quite young.
