Clear deep ruby/garnet; clean medium plus nose of balsamic, dried cherries, blackberries and fall cracked leaves; dry; high acidity; high tannins; high alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus to pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of cocoa and tar; long finish; drinking very well now but perhaps a few years of development left; a little rough around the edges but overall fantastic!

Clear deep ruby/garnet; clean medium nose of musty/dusty library, dried blackberries, dried strawberries and leather; dry; high acidity; high tannins; high alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus to pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of cocoa and cassis; long finish; beautiful state of development - drink now or soon; we’ve been consistently impressed with the Last Drop releases; blinded against a 2012 Pintia and scored the same!

Very dark black raspberry in colour almost to the rim. Deep dark nose of blackberries, cocoa nibs, dusty leather and limestone. Medium-full bodied, crunchy fruit extract, good acidity, mostly resolved tannins, but what is left are a bit sandy. Similar palate as the nose with lots of blackberry and blackberry leaf, mulch and silt. A bit hollow in the mid-palate.

Deep magneta red but very pure in colour. Blueberries and black currants on the nose. Also beechnut, pencil shavings and ink. Medium full bodied, tart fruit extract, slightly chalky tannins and a long dry finish. The flavours are all in the dark purple and black range with hints of black bark and chalky minerals. Well balanced and food friendly. Another 92 pointer on the evening. This one more in the fruit forward with backing structure style.

Dark ruby in colour with aromas of sweet black fruit & somewhat floral. On the palate, full bodied & fruit forward black fruit, blackberry/cassis, oak as cedar, slightly earthy with high acidity & high soft tannins. The finish is long to sour berries & a chalky minerality. And even though this wine is not particularly complex, it is balanced & the flavour is pleasant. And the bottle is very cool too!

Wow. 14 years old but plenty of life ahead in this powerful Cab Franc. Medium almandine wine heavy bricking. Nose shows beautiful harmony with some tertiary aromas but plenty of fruit remaining. Rich black plum and black cherry, smoke, earth, chocolate, coffee and leather. This wine is structured and complex with grippy tannins. Flavours of cherry, raspberry, black pepper, espresso and dark chocolate. Long fruit and pepper finish. Drink to 2031.

Deep black cherry with a ruby rim. Blueberries, beechnut, fennel, creosote and bittersweet chocolate on the nose. Very enticing! Medium full bodied, huge fruit extract, still a lot of tannins present but they are very fine, integrated alcohol and a dry finish. Oaked blueberry, tar, blue plum skins, camphor and chalky tannins. Really coats your gums and the roof of mouth. Poweful yet smooth. Fruity yet dry. Layers of dark flavours. I really like everything about this wine! Still seems …

Last bottle - here goes... Nice mature ruby red with a slight garnet rim. Nice legs. Nose is mixed red fruits. No type in particular stands out with the exception of maybe red plum. More of a mixed mash as it were of dark ripe red berries. Maybe some leather in there for good measure. Nose is actually on the demure side and needs lots of air to reveal itself. Palate is fully mature but still has good fruit intensity, …

Very clear and precise, medium dark, reddish purple with a thinning rim. Nose needs a lot of coaxing to reveal itself and then it is a mixture of red and black fruits, some lightly charred cedar and hint of lifted black currant right at the end. Almost bordering on a fresh light eucalyptus note. Entry is a little coarse with quite tart acidity. Medium bodied. Quite dry. Puckery red and black fruits on the palate are in the background but …

One of the best Cab Francs we've had ever, this was just singing after a few years of bottle age, could even improve but drinking fabulously well now, a real treat from the cellar - Dark, full bodied with a nose of cherry, cassis, licorice, plum, pepper and vanilla, very well made, impeccably balanced and complex, evolving with each glass, sweet, spicy and long on the palate, outstanding (93 Points).

Very good. Strong cab franc from a great vintage. I will hold my other bottle for a little longer, just to see, but I think it is drinking quite nice now. Paired with rare beef.

A decent Cab Franc. A bit peppery with fruit finish. Medium tannins at first, better after decanting for an hour. There are better Cab Francs out there for the price though. Served with steak on the grill-paired well with that
