Tasted at the winery in Wosendorf, Austria. Flowery nose with a slight hint of petrol. Much more expressive nose than the 2023 version we tasted alongside. Tastes of lemon curd, citrus, and mandarin oranges. The wine still has quite the alcoholic bite so hopefully it can get a little more balanced with an additional year or two in the bottle.

Too much Gruner for me. Lots of green tones, spice from alcohol, overpowering what should have been other notes for complexity. Surprising result from known producer and price. I think just too young.

Tasted next to GV Smaragd Hochrain. Exotic fruit on the nose, crushed stones, spicy. Again slightly oily on the palate, rich and concentrated. Good acidity, spicy, smoky minerality. Very long. 91-92+

Stone fruit, pear fruit, herbs, minerality on the nose. Rich and balanced on the palate, fresh, slightly creamy, elegant with good minerality and freshness. Great length. Excellent. 92-93+

Fresh, mineral, white fruit, slightly herbal on the nose. Juicy fruit on the palate, mineral, lively and vibrant. Good, saline finish. Precise and fine. 91-92+
