I think 2021 was the year that many wineries had some smoke taint problems, so interesting that I detected it at the winery. Can't really say that I detect that now, though. Medium deep slightly cloudy maroon. Nice rootsy, earthy, cola nose, big fruit on the palate, with good balance, good acidity, some slightly chalky tannins. Very nice, very flavourful wine, would definitely buy again.
