Drank my last bottle of this gem with some butternut squash soup. Light yellow color in the glass. Intoxicating nose of tropical fruit, lychee, pear, lavender, honeysuckle, asian spices and other flowers. Some pear, pineapple, honey and floral flavors on the palate. Full bodied mouthfeel with strong acidity. Long finish, although the alcohol seemed a bit high on the back end. A really terrific, complex wine.

Wow. I tasted this wine initially while in Alsace and loved it so I bought a few bottles. Opened my first one back home yesterday and it did not disappoint. The nose on this wine is amazing. A total flower garden along with some asian spices and just a hint of tropical fruit. This is not your typical off-dry gewurtz.
