Château des Herbeaux Montrachet

Well over its peak although still drinkable. Peach and nuttiness on nose and palate.

A little tired and musty. Has some truffle smells along with a fruit rind bitterness in the mouth. Relatively full with a lactic aftertaste.

A grand old white Burg that is not earth-shattering but thoroughly enjoyable. There are notes of hazelnut and almond, coupled with some marmalade and honey. There’s a touch of white mushroom and truffle and it has good density and fat in the mouth.
