Domaine de Vigneau-Chevreau Vouvray Moelleux Recolte par Tries

Deep golden in color. Floral nose of sliced red apple, orange blossom, bread and even a little wintergreen toward the end. The slight sweetness of the rich, seamless palate is balanced by intense acidity. Flavors of green apple, lemon, orange, and flowers slowly fade to a tight mineral core and a lingering, crisp finish. Should definitely last at least a few more years.

September Wine Club Tasting: The Loire (Gibby's) : Pale golden color. Initial aromas of beeswax, lanolin, apple blossoms and a faint smokiness. Rich, lush and full in the mouth, with ripe stone fruits on the attack, fading into a light minerally flavors on the finish. 89-91.

Notes at a party: Very quince/membrillo in aroma with quince flavor to the nicely acidic finish. Some apricot and subtle spice. This should age nicely. Pretty much dry.
