A hit muted upon opening but an hour later drinking quite well. Dark garnet in color. Dark fruits and cocoa on the nose with vibrant acidity and a medium finish. Still drinking well but glad I opened this tonight. Went extremely well with the NY Strip Roast Dinner.

Excellent all the way around. Exactly where you'd epect a high quality Napa Cabernet to be at 16-17 years old and with the completeness and profile you'd expect from pure Clone 6. Great stuff.

Good Stuff!! This is a very nice Clone!! Drinking Very Nicely! Big, but better complexity and structure with lots of layers. Can’t say I think it is at the end of it’s window but sure enjoyable right now! Drink Up, I am sorry this is my last bottle!

Beautiful dark plum color, Something of a "tart" nose. Lots of black fruit on the tongue--blackberry, currant, and black plum. Some savoriness mid-palate.Then I notice that there is still some stout tannin, here, A big, full-bodied wine, Early front-runner as my WOTY.

This has developed into a brooding, powerful, and layered Napa Cab. Earthy conifer, licorice, dried mint, and textbook Rutherford dust govern the complex, detailed, and expressive black raspberry and cassis bouquet. The rich, full bodied palate is taut, structured, and focused, with densely packed flavors that soar amid dark fruit intensity, knifelike acidity, and a richly melted texture. A touch of bottle age adds sous bois delineation. An absolute knockout.

Excellent cab. The age has treated it well with the fruit mellowing out to some earthy flavors. Very smooth mouthfeel.

for many this would have merited a 93-95, but it simply isn't my style, nonetheless one of the best made 'big' Cali cabs with tons of deep rich berry fruit and lovely saddle, cedar etc... I prefer old and faded classic cabs (e.g. Dunn HM, RM Reserves from the late 70's, but I must say I did enjoy the quality of the product here... just couldn't drink much quantity or very often

Drinking outstanding right now. Nicely balanced red and dark fruits, well integrated tannins, touch of cedar/cigar box. Served with filet and grilled cauliflower. Superb combination.

2007 vintage

From the prestigious Beckstoffer Georges III vineyard in Rutherford, the Bell Clone 6 Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 is as the name suggests, 100% Clone 6 Cabernet. True to form, it exhibits lush, saturating notes of boysenberry, black cherries, sandalwood, tar and meadow flowers. In the mouth it's opulent and silkily textured, with juicy black fruit, cassis, and fine, ripe tannins. In addition, an incredibly lengthy finish that tapirs off with receding exotic spice notes, baker's cocoa and cedar. Nicely developed.

Decanted for 1-2 hrs, wine is drinking very well right now. Powerful but smooth, nice long finish. Paired it with grilled rack of lamb, ended up being a very nice complimentary pairing. Probably has more aging potential for those that own more, but drinking beautifully now, so I don't feel bad at all about drinking my last bottle of it at this point.

Wonderful wine. Medium garnet color. Red cherry fruit with a hint of leather on the nose. Flavors continue on the palate. Medium/medium+ body, medium tannins and acidity, medium+ finish. Very well made - nicely integrated. Drinking well now (London broil and baked potato) with many good years ahead.

This wine is drinking very well now, without much decanting. The tannins are well incorporated and provide the right amount of complexity at the beginning of the first sip, as well as deep, rich, long finish that just makes me want to open more of this gem.

Valentines Day 2013. Sarasota Symphony. Hyde Patk Steak House. Need a great cab. They didn't decant which was a bummer. Order a Stella let the wine open. Salad was good wine was getting great. Once it opened it wad smooth, rich and everything a good CA cab should be. Wish I owned more.

As before, deep dark center, still youthful. Sweet, cassis, mocha, a little VA. Smooth, head on cassis, stones, plums, oak, ripe red fruit, slightly smokey finish. Excellent Napa cab, has some old world notes but drinking well now. Will probably improve over the next 3 to 5 years.

Deep dark red center, red rim with very modest signs of age. Cassis, bordeaux, curry leaves, sweet, enticing dark fruits, cracked stones, roasted herbs. Smooth, cassis, red currants, some acidity, modest tannins, acidity on the finish, great length. Drinking well now. Interesting Bordeaux inspired wine. Has that Napa body and sweetness but the cassis is very old world. Will improve over the next year or two.

Had At Ruths Chris from my cellar. This wine was exceptional. Smooth, with hints of berry and carmel. Tannins were smooth and the taste was very pleasant. This wine cut through the fat of the NY strips and enhanced the meal

Paired with Osso Buco. A gritty floss your teeth wine that stood up well. They call it unfiltered and they mean it. I let it decant for 2 hours as we watched the sun set over the bay. Excellent cab. After a recent tasting of a host of Napa cabs, this one didn't have the alcohol burning up the flavor. It was smooth and subtle. I plan on keeping the rest of my bottles many more years to watch this wine get even better.

In my opinion, a classic styled Napa Cab... on the rustic side of the fence with hints of worn leather, though with a beautiful integration of new oak and dark ripe fruit.. good, balanced, concentrated mid-palate, with chalky, unfiltered substance, without over-extraction (thank goodness), and a solid medium-plus finish with dusty tannin... dark current, cassis, pencil lead, subtle coffee, and lovely spicy cigar box carry from the nose through the creamy finish... consistent with previous tasting months ago.. recommendable.. loved …
