Peter’s ‘best of new world’ (Cornus, London) : Blind. This was a 99 ABC Arroyo Grande, but not sure if R&R, or a different vineyard. Far darker and denser.Savoury, but a sweetness.A touch of oxidation and meatiness. Feels older but a darker colour through being a bit cloudier and less bright. Rich but a little diffuse. Can’t quite place it but there’s something funny here.Over mature? ***1/2

Best of the New World (Cornus, London) : Blind. Rich and meaty but a bit diffuse. "All gravy and no meat". Just a bit muddy. Sadly I think a bit of a sub-par bottle. On this showing ***1/2 Guessed: Burgundy Group Average 3.5 (out of 5)
