Subtle tannic structure, nose slowly came alive after 90 minutes. Couldn’t really stand up to a pork roast which is surprising given its pedigree. Will have the next bottle alone or with something else.

The California wine purge has officially begun. I need to make room for my fall shipments of Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne, and Italian wine. Over the next 12 months, my goal is to drink down most of my California wine as it just does not bring me the pleasure that it once did. This is not to suggest that this wine is bad in anyway. On the contrary, it is a very well-made Stag’s Leap District wine and one that New …

Similar to prior tasting notes. A crowd pleaser that is easy to drink, shows genuine Stag’s Leap fruit profile, which should be enjoyed by all new world wine palates. Decanted for one hour.

This ‘19 Stags Leap Vineyard from PRV is a wine that will be UNIVERSALLY liked by almost everyone. I view this as a crowd pleaser that delivers on everything you want from the AVA. Expressive nose with notes of blackberry, white pepper, cedar, and a dash of vineyard floor. A bit softer on tannins, good grip, and maybe a slightly elevated ABV. I scored this wine 93+ points.

This might be one of the best bottles of cab I've ever had. Incredible. Deep and lush but not over ripe and residual sugar sweet. Silky but firm tannins. Long, focused finish. Let's the terrior shine.

So I am an old world junkie and would much prefer Bordeaux, Burgundy, and N. Rhone to Napa wines. That said the first vineyard I ever visited in my lifetime is Pine Ridge 20 years ago back in February 2003. What I admire most about Pine Ridge is its consistency and commitment to its Stag’s Leap roots. What I love about Wine is its ability to transport you back in time and tap into memories of old. This wine did …

This is a 2019 vintage, nothing unusual about the bottle or the cork, except that it's shorter than usual -- 40 mm instead of the standard 45 mm, with a medium-weight foil. But the cork and the nose are not good and the wine itself is spoiled.

Leather, vanilla, just underripe black cherry, tart raspberry, smoke- kinda charred barrel-esque, some rubber/tire. Thin, kinda hollow on the palate, lots of cherry and oak. A bit more elegant in style, but not remarkable.

4 of 5. Easy drinker although unremarkable flavor.

Great within its price range. In addition to standard red fruit aronmas I get a nice wave of tropical notes. Primarily of melon varieties. Taste comes off as refreshing and sweet.
